BioMesh : surgical mesh constituted by polypropylene monofilaments; sterile synthetic material, strength similar to steel, low density, considerable stability and durability in contact with tissues. BioMesh is a polypropylene mesh designed for permanent implantation in the body during open or laparoscopic procedures, and has the role of stabilize and strengthen defects of soft tissues, and act as a sling to support prolapsed organs and viscera.
Description:
BioMesh polypropylene surgical mesh is very flexible, allowing excellent handling in order to strengthen and adjust the tissue defects, and perfectly adjusting to the patient’s movements. It allows a fibroblast response through the mesh interstices forming a strong fibrous wall, and it is inert in case of infection. In case of tissue repairing, Vital Mesh can mechanically strengthen the weakened area and stimulate a long-term stability, while acting as a scaffold for the new tissue growth.
Indications:
- BioMesh polypropylene mesh is indicated in hernia treatment, such as inguinal hernia, abdominal hernia, incarcerated hernia, umbilical hernia, among the most common.
- Due to its high tensile strength at tissue level, since it is non-absorbable and its structure benefits the adherence to the tissues, it is the most used in the definitive treatment of parietal defects.
Presentations:
- Individual envelope
- Sterilized by Ethylene Oxide
